There are four general outcomes for physical education (K-12):
A) Activity- Acquire skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate movement activities; dance, games, types of gymnastics,individual activities and activities in an alternative environment; e.g., aquatics and outdoor pursuits.
General outcomes B, C and D are interrelated and interdependent and are achieved through involvement
in movement activities identified in General Outcome A.
B) Benefits of Health- Understand, experience and appreciate the health benefits that result from physical activity.
Assessment:
Students will be assessed based on their achievement on the outcomes above.

Shaping Physical Literacy
Definition:
Physical Literacy is the mastering of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills that permit a child to read their environment and make appropriate decisions, allowing them to move confidently and with control in a wide range of physical activity situations.
Individuals who are physically literate move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of physical activities in multiple environments that benefit the healthy development of the whole person.
